Base Price Increases

Updated 6/18/21

Price increase for all bases effective July 5th, 2021

Over the past several months, our steel prices and supply prices have been increasing across the board. We have been absorbing the majority of these price increase to keep our prices stable; however, according to our supplier's pricing will only continue to increase. Because of this, we have had to increase the costs of our bases to adjust for current material prices.

Doing this is not something we take lightly as we know all of our customers rely on stable pricing to quote jobs and secure financing. These price increases only reflect the increased cost of production, including our raw steel cost, cost of sawblades, welding wire, drill bits, and paint.

We have also begun working with other local suppliers to do what we can to secure lower pricing and increase availability to help stop the recent bottleneck of back-ordered steel and supplies where possible.

We hope that steel and supply prices will drop, allowing us to revert to our old pricing options; however, we currently do not see that happening within the next couple of months.

Here at GB Fabrication, we buy all of our steel from local suppliers who produce most of their steel right here in the USA. This past week, our primary steel supplier reached out to us to discuss the current steel market and potential upcoming price and availability volatility. Due to the rapidly improving economy, decreased production output because of the COVID19 pandemic, and the increasing cost of raw materials and transportation, steel prices could begin to surge as well as experience potential shortages.

We are actively watching the pricing on the steel we regularly order for our bases and ordering extra when possible. Price surges may happen quickly and with minimal warning; shortages may extend production time for individual bases while waiting for back-ordered steel.

At this time, our current 2021 price lists released in January will remain in use. We are doing everything we can to ensure our prices do not increase and production turnaround remains 8-12 business days.
